Lello Bookshop, Porto, Portugal
Constructed in 1906, Lello has remained a niche of historical architecture because of the awe inspiring staircase. The grandiose red staircase leads to a lighted atrium, almost like going to heaven. Under the stairs you can observe the carved leafy imprints and the same turquoise ish and gold paint as the ceiling above the stairs.
Chand Baori, Abhaneri, India

Constructed in the 9th century, this water system is not under use anymore. 3,500 steps that descend 13 stories deep, makes this an astonishing architectural/engineering achievement for ancient times.
